Nautilus doesn't open my bookmarks

Asked by Anders Sjölander

When I try to open my bookmarks and other folders from the Places menu in the Ubuntu desktop, nothing happens; Nautilus simply doesn't open. It did work for a while yesterday, right after I updated Ubuntu to Intrepid Ibex, but it seemed Nautilus actually ran as root, displaying root's home folder and bookmarks.
When I run Nautilus from a terminal, it works fine. I don't know how to produce any debug information since the problem only occurs when running Nautilus from the Places menu.

Using Ubuntu 8.10 (swedish; sv_SE), Nautilus 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu1.
