I'm using ubuntu 9.04 and my home partition is kept from me previous installation- 8.04.
when I'm clicking on "Home Folder" and other bookmarks from the places menu, F-spot is launched.
I have created another new fresh user, and there i dont have this problem.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#When%20not%20to%20file%20a%20bug.

It's likely that you've inadvertently changed the mimetype association for your folders. To reset it, remove any line beginning with "inode/directory" from the following 3 files:

~/.local/share/applications/defaults.list
~/.local/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache
~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list

I couldn't understand why isn't it a bug, but the solution you suggested solved the problem. I did not edit the file, but I copied these files from my other user that working OK. thank you very much for your help!
