mobile broadband is not working in ubuntu 9.10

My mobile brand band connection is not working in ubuntu 9.10. It was working fine in ubuntu 9.04.When I set user name and password through network manager It won't set (When I take it again the user name and password field will be blank). A message saying some thing like "Network not connected you are offline" ...

Perhaps your problem is linked with the bugs I reported (#450568 and #450574).

It seems that the network manager does not honor the settings from the settings page.
