How do i play a song that i made in notedit, everytime i press play, nothing happens, how come?

I am totally new to noteedit, so this is a very basic question. How do i play a song, everytime i press play nothing happens, how come? and some times it just freezes.

running the following command should fix it.
sudo apt-get install khelpcenter
