Volume control does not invoke new Nofify-OSD

Installed the new Notify-OSD with no problems, works great. I also updated to gnome-settings-daemon-2.29.5 So I have the latest Notify-OSD and the latest Gnome Settings Daemon, but my volume keys and eject keys revert back to the old on-screen graphics, they do not appear in the new notify osd bubble. What else do I need to configure or set up so that the volume controls appear the new way in the new notify osd bubble and not the old way. thank you for your help.
