When you removed the USB device, what steps did you take?

Many thanks for trying to help me. As I am a very new user I am facing this type of problems.

After removing the USB drive I open the file . it shows the file was totally empty . it shows 0 kb of size.

what actionparsnip is asking is

when you removed the pendrive from the computer, did you perform a "safely remove device" first? you need to do this to flush the data from the buffer to the pendrive. otherwise, the data may not have been saved to the drive when you removed it.
