Where did this package (originally) come from and where can I find documentation for it?

I am interesting in using the python interface for packagekit for a project, but I would like to know where it originally came from and if they released any additional documentation (the python help says that there should be html files).

Never mind. I looked at the source provided by packagekit.org again and found that the python stuff is in there, just not where I would have expected. It seems the documentation that python was pointing to is imaginary.
