Refresh folder PcManFM

Asked by Stefano Gurrieri

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
File Manager installed: pcmanfm 0.9.10-0ubuntu2

I have done this test:
I take a USB stick
I insert it in my Desktop PC (OS: Windows 7)
I copy in my key some files (folders, files)
I eject the USB key from my Desktop PC

I insert the USB key on my laptop PC, with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and pcmanfm as file manager:
...when I open the file manager I see the point mount folder in /media, BUT I don't see the new files just added. Just after I press "F5" key from my keyboard (basically only after I have done a refresh), I can see these new files.

Someone can help me to understand?

When you say 'eject it', can you expand on that please.
Thanks

I mean that I remove my key from Desktop PC (unplug it).
The strange thing is that when I plug the USB key on my laptop PC (with Linux), under /media/usbname I don't see this new files. Just after have done a refresh. But if I open a terminal and I do: ls /media/usbname --> I see these files.

Do you use the safe remove feature in the OS before you physically unplug the device?
This needs to happen for things to work as expected
