Unable to use Yahoo messanger

I have a yahoo messanger account. I red the above faq to seek solution. I have downloaded yahoo messanger and pidgin and when I tried to sign up into my yahoo account, it says "Application execution error....Yahoo messanger stopped running unexpectdly....there was no error." I appreciate for your advice.

hi I use pidgin without to download yahoo ms I opened pidgin and select from menu type of my mesenger (is yahoo too) and I use it only I can't to use a voice and video function but writing comunication is work well.
I am new in ubuntu but maybe this information will be helpful for you

To configure yahoo client in pidgin:

Start pidgin (applications -> Internet -> Pidgin instant messenger)

Click on accounts -> Add/edit

In the basic tab in the drop down box next to protocols select yahoo

In the screen name field enter your yahoo ID (ex john if email id is <email address hidden>)

In the password field enter your account password

In the Local alias field enter your nick name, check remember your password option

and check new mail notification option if you want new mail notification

and click on save then again Click on accounts -> Add/edit

and check the enabled option to connect to your account automatically when pidgin starts
