Aparently this is in the list of intended features of pitivi, but nobody is workingon it yet.

You can already do crossfades (or fades), but not fancy transitions, yet.

@Jean-François: Merci, c'est très intéressant: c'est nouveau, ou depuis quand? Je n'ai pas besoin de transitions spéciales, les élémentaires me suffiront bien.

Thanks, that's useful to know. Is this a new feature, or when was it introduced? I've no need of "fancy" transitions, simple ones like crossfade will be fine for me.

Cette fonctionnalité existe depuis 0.13.4 (voir le manuel pour savoir comment faire :). Attention, il y a un bug qui empêche de les utiliser correctement cependant: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=632414
