I paid rarlabs 29$ for thier rar package but not able to install

What filename(s) do you have? You can get rar for free from software centre, so slightly confused...

Sure there is. If you run:

sudo apt-get install unp rar unrar p7zip-rar p7zip-full

You can extract rar files using file roller via right click in nautilus, or:

unp filename.rar

Its a free (as in beer) tool to extract rar files....

You could even install unrar-free which is 100% free (is open source too) to extract rar files.
