Fujifilm Finepix S700 Camera read is slow

Asked by Theatre-X

I plugged my mother's camera (Fujifilm Finepix S700) into her machine that has a very good processing speed and 1GB of ram. And the read speed of reading photos and such is painfully slow. Any applications or drivers and such or any advice on how to speed it up? Or could this be a bug? I'm quite sure the machine has USB 2.0.

From the center of Ubuntu Bermjat in the search box, type ((gtkam)) and press install.

How long (approximately) does it take to load a single photo? How large are the files? Are they in RAW format?

You do not need to formate

I Magsdth Center Ubuntu software located in the same distribution.

I do not think it cost you long time.

So I installed the "gtkam" app and I went to Add the camera and it told me "Cannot initialize camera".

Something occurred to me this morning. Can you try connecting your camera directly to your computer, with no other USB devices connected (not even a hub)? If even a single slow USB device is on the bus, all devices must run at the old USB speed (which is quite slow).

Can you help with this problem?
