Install wine from the Ubuntu software centre, then put your ms office disk in the cd drive and follow the install instructions.

End of life support date for Ubuntu 9.04 was October 23, 2010. So it is not supported anymore.

So I advise installing Ubuntu 10.04 or 11.04 and then installing MS Office 2007.
