One of my computers will not sync with Software Center

Asked by Bruce Crowther

I inadvertently stopped syncing with my laptop using the button at the bottom of my side panel in the software center.
Now I cannot get it back into the list of hosts, so I can compare both computers via the laptop, but not via the desktop.
oneconf-query --hosts shows only the desktop when run in the desktop, but shows both computers when run in the laptop.
How can I add the laptop back to the hosts in the list on the desktop?

Found an answer:
Went to Ubuntu SSO and deleted both computers from "Applications".
Found a folder on both machines -/home//.cache/oneconf, which I deleted on both machines.
Fired up Software Center on both machines, and signed into Ubuntu SSO, then clicked "Sync Between Computers" - each machine successfully synced with the other (and the .cache/oneconf folders were re-generated.)

My bad, it seemed clear to me at the time: today I couldn't recall what I was on about..............

Went to Ubuntu SSO and deleted both computers from "Applications".. = browse to: https://login.ubuntu.com and sign in.

Under the "Applications" tab you find all the apps or devices you have configured to use the Single Sign On ID. If you are not a code or terminal freak (I am very not one of them) you can simply disconnect the whole lot and start the registration process again.
