Depends. If it is encrypted no.

Try playing it in Totem (The movie player) If it can't, It will help you install codecs to do so.

look for some thing in the pakages w32codecs will play about any thing all most

Or open a terminal window and type " sudo apt-get install w32codecs ".

If it doesn't exist then you don't have a connection to the medibuntu repository where all legally licensed software sits, so go to www.medibuntu.org and read the instructions on installing the repository through the "RepositoryHowTo". Then you'll be able to install "w32codecs".
