can totem load external subtitles ?

Asked by Mihai Niculescu

I like very much totem because it is very simple and very powerful. One thing that i dislike about Totem is that it does not provide a graphical interface to dynamically load external subtitles.( by dynamically i mean the possibility to load subtitle while playing the movie).

I know that Totem automatically loads subtitles having the same name as the movie, but I usually have subtitles named different.

Can someone add this function to Totem, please?

By default, totem on ubuntu 8.10, don't load subtitles automatically.
You must set this option from "edit/preferences/general/subtitles"
Sorry if my English is not the best!

I'm asking on...
Sorry, I've asked what I have to do if totem didn't want to load the subtitle sub file, named the same name, with the option auto set.

Can you help with this problem?
