i cant find a port used for incoming connections that works, what should i do?

downloads dont work without a port number. i need that number. what is it?

I couldnt understand your problem well, but in case you are looking for port number may be this will help.

Open Transmission, go to Preferences >> Network and and note down the number for the port.
default port is 9091

The port number is whatever you have set your router for... (google "port forwarding")
