transmission package

Trying to open a link and transmission has disappeared from the list of applications to choose from

Regularly use transmission now for unknown reason it won't appear on the list of applications to choose from when I click a link to download.
Can not find it when browsing the file system, however the application is installed and running fine.

What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; apt-cache policy transmission

First of all thank you. Meanwhile I think I fixed the problem. When last clicked on a magnet link and opened to choose transmisson-gtk appeared as an option, then I changed the always ask to this in the firefox preferences.
Anyway this is the output:

Try:

sudo apt-get --reinstall install transmission
