Unexisting country in the updates...
Tzdata contains updates related to a break-away region of Moldova, the self-proclaimed "pridnestrovian moldavian republic" whose existence has not been recognized by any world state - http://
In my opinion this is not a proper practice (especially given the fact that updates related to this "pridnestrovian..." have a long history already in most of the ubuntu versions.
I would suggest that this "state" (created and ran by a criminal clan, responsible for many war crimes) is excluded from the updates since the presence of updates related to this unrecognized "country" is not politically correct, offending to the people of Moldova including those families who lost their dear ones during the 1992 war, and makes Canonical Ltd. look ridiculous and unaware of the realities out-there.
Hopefully this issue gets the deserved attention from the Canonical Ltd. and the Ubuntu community. thank you in advance.
best regards.
