Are there any reasons why not downloading the current iso?
http://releases.ubuntu.com/11.04/ubuntu-11.04-desktop-i386.iso

or maybe the smaller on, the netinstall?
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/natty/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/mini.iso

You can then put the ISO to a cd by burning it, or putting the iso to an usb-drive an use the usb-drive for installing

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromUSBStick

Also you did not say where you live or what Version you need (32Bit or amd64)

Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded to make the USB stick?

Do you get errors when starting from the usb stick? or maybe the usb-boot-option is not enabled?

you have used the disk-creator from ubuntu?

Instead of saying "I don't know what MD5 test is", why not RESEARCH. You have a system hooked up to the largest information database known to mankind....

You would have EASILY found this:

action, dont mistake my INEXPERIENCE for being lazy. i have been trying all sorts of stuff in terminal for several days and came here basically as a last resort. i did go into the link to no avail probably not in the right directory As i mentioned dont know what a md5 is or ISO although i do know what "hash" is could probably use some right now .

MD5 testing is not Ubuntu specific. Glad it's a last resort but based on what I said you could have used that direction to steer a new avenue or persuit..

Does the ISO check out as OK?

ROFL. 'known' to mankind isn't obviously the case.
But maybe by now mankind has heard of Wikipedia.

broketrdr,
there're local teams which may help to get a LiveCD.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LoCoTeamList

Users around the world offer an 'Ubuntu hour', maybe at your local too.

if you want ubuntu mailed to your home, you can easily drop into a bookstore or computer store and get one of the linux/ubuntu magazines. they will have a ubuntu dvd attached. you can also try your local library. they will have ubuntu books that will have a dvd inside.

Can you help with this problem?
