how long download ubuntu 12.04

Asked by Denni Agung Pambudi

I want to download Ubuntu 12.04, but it seems that it take a long time, i.e. 1 day via Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox.

Can you mention the alternate way to download it much faster (e.g. 2 hours)??

Thanks.

Hi Denni,

please provide us what is your internet speed. If you can slow connection you can use alternatieve mirrors to download Ubuntu. I can tell you, that you can download it with minimum speed of 10 Mb/s that's which my connection is.

Miha

It all depends on you internet connection speed and your download manager. I wouldn't recommend downloading large amounts of files using your browser. You should get another downloader. If you are using ubuntu i'd suggest you download an application called "Multi-get". It's a pretty good downloader and it's much faster than Firefox and Chrome. It supports multithreaded downloading which lets you split the file upto 10 times. And that will speed up your download much faster. Search multi get in ubuntu software center. You'll love the app.

And one more thing, you must have a broadband connection in order to download it in 2 hours.

Good Luck!
