We all know that Android and Ubuntu are based on Linux Kernel written in C and C++ programming language, what I would like to know what is the main difference between Android OS that's running smartphones and tablets developed by Google and the new Ubuntu OS that's will run the new generation of smartphones.

Development team, ubuntu will be made by Canonical, Android will be made by Google.
Apps, ubuntu has software centre and all the apps there, Android has Google Play.

I'd imagine that the Ubuntu mobile OS will be on fewer devices than Android initially.

Does this help, your question doesn't ask much....

There is a lot of info on the web here for example
ww.ubuntu.com/devices/phone

One main difference may be virus protection. Google play is said to contain a lot of malware so anti-virus is recommended. With Ubuntu, on desktops at least, most people don't use any as it is not felt necessary.

There is plenty of info on the web if you use Google or another search engine.
