Can you please tell me that, Does Ubuntu 10.04 get affected by hackers (like remote desktop hackers)? Please answer me!!!!!

Yes, if the a system is able to access the web, the web can possibly get to you. If you are using a router then that will act as a decent firewall.
Ubuntu ships with iptables which is running but will allow all traffic, you can use ufw etc to configure it more but if you are using a router it's perfectly fine to leave it
