avahi/zero-conf and ufw

Asked by Brewster Malevich

avahi/zero-conf/bonjour! is magic to me. I don't fully understand how it works internally. With my previous firewall front-end (Firestarter) I had to modify quite a few things in order to get avahi to pass-through my wall and function properly.
What sort of rules do I need to pass in ufw for avahi to function?

"sudo ufw allow 5298/tcp" does the trick. I'm opening a bug to try to add an app profile to Empathy.

Check if would like to change something in the profile. I've only copied the one from CUPS and change it accordingly.
