Running 10.10 on Netbook. Switch back to unity netbook interface from Gnome desktop.

Asked by Crystal Collins

I am running Ubuntu 10.10 on my Eee PC Netbook and liked the Gnome desktop interface but I want to change back to the netbook interface. Google searches are only turning up release notes and such. There is not an option when you log out to change back and I am not good at Command Line stuff. Please help me get my netbook interface back please. Thank you in advance.

If you log off, click no your username then look at the bottom of the screen you can choose your desktop environment there. If the netbook interface is listed, select it, then enter your password and log in.

If it is not there you can run:

sudo apt-get install go-home-applet human-netbook-theme maximus netbook-launcher window-picker-applet

And it should give what you need.

Can you help with this problem?
