Different menu appeareance

Asked by Jochen Skulj

I noticed that the menus of Firefox and OpenOffice have a difference appeareance in the global menu than GNOME applications. While the menus of GNOME applications are shown on the very top of the screen, Firefox and OpenOffice seem to still have a title bar (which is empty) and the menu is shown below that.

Is this a personal issue of mine, is this intended or will this be changed in future releases?

Thanks, Jochen

Hello....

This is normal.... "issues with non GTK and QT applications, most notably Firefox and OpenOffice".

Gnome/Ubuntu uses GTK for creating applications..... so non GTK apps ^ ^ have trouble at the moment..... The word is non GTK apps, most notably Open Office and Firefox, will be fixed in the future.

Can you help with this problem?
