Non Responsive GUI (ubuntu-11.04)

Hey guys I tried updating from 10.10 to 11.04 the other day and when I boot it up, the gui does not respond to any clicking or anything, the mouse moves around fine, perhaps the graphics driving just cant display it.? plzzzx help

You can.You can make an EXTRA user. You can make more than one user in the OS you know....

Sorry I'm pretty new to Linux when my comp boots up I get to where I can type in the pass for my account, after that when im in the actual os nothing responds, is there a way I can make an account without logging in to any other, if so could u let me know

You said you are new user: and you are using an unstable prerelease of Ubuntu 11.04... this is strongly not suggested.

I like to be up to date, however the method you posted does not allow me to add a user without logging on.

Alright so my solution at the moment is selecting it as Ubuntu classic and running it like that until a solution is found, perhaps this is an issue developers should know about, if so where should I post it?
