how to eliminate hard disk partition

Asked by niojedao@gmail.com

I have a disk partition and the ubuntu space is smaller than the microsoft space. Actually I want to get rid of the Windows partition so that all of the disk is Ubuntu. I want to run Windows on a virtual disk.

Then you can boot to liveCD and delete the Windows partition, you can then resize the Ext4 partition into the free space. All this can be done in gparted. Obviously backup any data you need from BOTH OSes in case of catastrophe (This should be happening already if your data is of value to you).
