Hello,

You should subscribe to Full Circle Magazine from http://fullcirclemagazine.org/. It is free and you can download all the past 4 years of issues.

In issue 52 (August) there is an article on how to install the latest version of Wine. It works great.

Regards,

Read issue 52 front to back, it was no help. For one, I already had WINE installed as part of 11.10. Eventually figured it out on my own. It was as simple as going back into Configure WINE and pointing the paths back to my optical drives. Not exceedingly difficult, but very frustrating until I figured it out.
