10.10: xorg.conf

In 10.10. I don't have anymore the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf (I had it in 8.04). Where are these informations stored? Thanls.

You can still use xorg.conf in Maverick but it doesn't ship with one. If you make one it will be obeyed.

You can generate a file by booting to root recovery mode and running:

Xorg -configure

This will make a skeleton file which you can then flesh out after you reboot by running:

shutdown -r now

The x in Xorg is capitalized. This is clear in the command I gave. Linux is very casesensitive which is why you should not change commands given
