keystrokes missing

Asked by Kevin Le

I'm using a Dell Studio 15 laptop and when i type fast, keystrokes will be missing. For example: "Hello world" will turn into "Hello orld"

Also, If i press multiple keys at once,2-4 keys, sometimes the last key that appears will repeat infinitely until i press something else.

I dual boot Windows 7, and this problem doesn't occur in in Windows 7.

I am currently running ubuntu 10.10 with kernel 2.6.35-25-generic. I'm new to ubuntu and i checked out a couple other posts but they seem to have slightly different problmes. When i checked out xorg.conf, there is nothing in there about input devices, only the video card.

thanks, I have. The keyboard works fine in windows 7 though, could it still be that the keyboard is dying?

Can you help with this problem?
