The setting to change the hour from 24 hours to am / pm is missing on ubuntu 10.10.

Trying to change the setting of the clock from 24 hours to 12 hours.
According to instruction for changing settings to the clock, there should under the general tab a setting for changing the hour from 24 hours time to am / pm (12 hours).
This particular setting seems to be missing from the Ubuntu 10.10 version I have installed.
Question is, can the clock version be updated? Currently running Clock Version 2.30.2.
