get new partition

i need to divid my hard disk drive to be more than one partation to let me install another operating system at the same laptop .
i installed Gparted partation editor application but the i could't do it because the option of unmount fot existing partation not work with me ..

So .. i need such support .

You will need to boot to live Ubuntu CD / USB and resize there.

Be sure to run a full backup before you start in case of catastrophe.
