I lost my Desktop Menu and toolbars.

Asked by Grimvant

I was messing around with the Feisty Fawn 7.04 version's desktop effects and I lost the bottom and top toolbars. Does anyone know how to retrieve them?

Yes I am using ubuntu 7.04 desktop gnome environment. I just returned from a reboot and the taskbars came back. I am not sure what happened but when in doubt, reboot.

It happened again. Apparently it has to do with switching between the work spaces. I'll try to avoid that.

I am in a similar situation. When l log in the only thing l can access is items on the desktop and right-click, giving me "Create Folder, Create Launcher & Create Launcher".

I'm in the same situation as "I am in a similar situation. When l log in the only thing l can access is items on the desktop and right-click, giving me "Create Folder, Create Launcher & Create Launcher"."

However, mine happened only after the initial updates for Ubuntu 8.10 before the updates after I had just installed from the created CD the desktop worked fine. Now it is as described above.

Help please!!!

Any help would be appreciated.
