flash player no sound

I have been using ubuntu (gnome) where everything seems to work perfectly. I tried to use kubuntu (kde) instead but there is no sound when I try to play flash videos or any content from the web through Firefox browser. Is this a codec problem here? Is there a simple fix for this problem?

I am new to linux, so I am not used to typing stuff. Here is the output for that command:

Boy I feel stupid. I opened kmix and noticed that the default pcm setting was off. I adjusted the levels and now have sound!
