showing local wallpapers

I have tried repeatedly various configurations, to simply add the wallpapers located on my computer to the wallpapers that are downloaded and displayed. Nothing seems to make a difference. Variety will download wallpapers, show the wallpapers, allow me to make some of them favorites, and allow me to delete some. I will not display the local walllpapers I already have though.
