circe2 for FCC-ee

Asked by Yehia Abdelaziz

I am trying to generate events for ee collisions at the FCC-ee but I can't find the circe2 file for the FCC-ee.

Hi Yehia,
just a quick remark. Thorsten is working on the CIRCE2 files for FCC-ee, he will answer soon. For the moment, it might be sufficient
for you to just use Gaussian beam spread with 0.19% spread for each beam.
Cheers,

Actually, I corrected the number to 0.19% spread. The 0.01% that I had given before was for the muon collider, which I somehow was stuck in my mind.

Thank you Juergen. I think the latest parameters can be found here:

https://github.com/HEP-FCC/FCCeePhysicsPerformance/blob/master/General/parameters_Dec2022_table.pdf

The BS is different depending on the beam energy energy. For example it is 0.221% for beam energy of 182.5 GeV.

Hi Yehia,
sorry for the long silence on this, but we really needed to wait for the conclusion of the FCC feasibility study and the next level of machine optimization. This is now down with a full beam simulation based on XSuite + GuineaPig provided by Katsunobu Oide. Thorsten has created CIRCE2 beam spectra from these simulations for the four different energy stages of FCC-ee: 91 GeV (Z pole), 161 GeV (WW threshold), 240 GeV (ZH threshold), and 365 GeV (tt threshold). For each of this four energies, there are four different beam spectra for each of the four interactions points (PA, PD, PJ, PG) and a hypothetical symmetric interaction point (PB, where no collisions will be happening, though). You can find these spectra on the Hepforge page together with some documentation:
https://whizard.hepforge.org/circe_files/FCCee/
More documentation will be added for the next Whizard release, likely tagged as 3.1.7.
Cheers,

With the release of Whizard v3.1.7 these CIRCE2 files for FCC-ee 91/161/240/365 are now considered officially released. Closing.
