Wubi

i instaled ubuntu via windows instal tnstaled ok but when i try to boot it go's to system recovery???

Are you saying you installed through Wubi? What do you mean by 'system recovery'? Is it a grub rescue prompt? Please supply more details.

Probably best if you give details of what you see on screen as you try to boot up.

Do you get a list of options? You should be able to choose either Recovery mode, or the version of Ubuntu you want. That is what Wubi gave me, anyhow.
