Dual Installation with Wndows

Asked by Karthick m

I have 60 GB hard-disk in that Windows Xp installed, few days back i installed one more hard disk 350GB .Now my question is
if i try to install Ubuntu from Windows , i will be able to use 36 GB only in my new hard-disk. I want to install Ubuntu as separate OS in 350GB hard-disk .

   Tried full installation It says "after few min your system will be rebooted", after reboot i can see only blank screen.Some can advice me how to proceed further.

Regards,
Karthick.M

If you have a new drive, why not use a true install? They are far easier to repair if there are issue and they run better as the data is not stored in a data file in (crappy) NTFS which is very prone to fragmentation?

@Karthick.M
Did you install within Windows (wubi) or do a full install (from CD)? It's not clear from your description. Is the screen completely blank?

Describe in detail what you see when you switch on your PC.

Can you help with this problem?
