Are you running it inside a virtual machine, like Virtualbox, or have you installed it through the Wubi process?

It depends on how it crashes. What are you planning to do to windows to make it crash? ;)

Wubi often does boot when Windows stops booting, as it doesn't depend on Windows to boot, just the Windows Boot Manager. However, if you have an unstable Windows with recurring crashes, then it would be best to avoid Wubi and do a proper dual boot.
