Wubi

I am not able to install windows installer

When I am trying to install ubuntu windows installer for my windows 7 ultimate ,I am getting below error

An error occurred
Extraction failed with code:2

Please tell me exact link, If I am working on wrong link and tell me what needs to be done suppose I install dual boot operating system, I haven't created unpartitioned space when I installed windows, I also have original Ubuntu 8.4 CD, Please send me details for that too and also let me know it will not effect my D: and E:, I have important data on them. Please let me know If I am missing anything.

You can http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/ to post the wubi log contents (from the %temp% directory). But there are some issues with installing wubi standalone on fat32 partitions (bug 862003 for example). It's hard to know exactly what's wrong without the log file (and sometimes even with it it's not entirely clear).

If you want to install with Wubi (running dual-boot ubuntu from a virtual partition) then I recommend downloading the desktop CD ISO and saving it in the same folder as Wubi.exe before running Wubi.

Release 8.04 is no longer supported so I don't recommend installing that.
