Region linking

Hi,

Is it possible to link some regions so if i have one region with video at 30sec lenght so another region shows image or text exactly that lenght too? It would be nice if i can pick video and image or text and then specify in which region to show them.

You set the video in one region with a duration of 30 seconds, and the
image in the other region with a duration of 30 seconds and the two
should show simultaneously.

In reality, with the Windows client there will be a slight difference
in their durations depending on which region is rendered first, so you
might need to take a second off the image or text region or make it a
second longer etc.

There's no way to link two regions together as you suggest.

What you'd normally do is have a layout with the video and text on it,
set the duration of the text short (eg 5 seconds) and the video to 0
seconds (auto detect end of video). Then create a new layout for the
next video etc.

Then schedule all those layouts at the same time. Because you're
starting a new layout at the change of each video your videos and text
will stay in sync.
