It does not seem possible to grant a group access to amend a layout

Firstly, I am not sure if this should be a bug or a question.

I have the following scenario:

Group: Reception

Users: Richard
Users: Louise

"Richard" and "Louise" are both members of the group "Reception".

I created a new layout while logged in as "Richard". "Richard" is then able to edit the layout, and perform any other actions as defined by the permissions in the management tools.

When logged in as "Louise" I am not able to edit the "Reception" layout, even though I am a member of the same group as "Richard".

Please let me know how to get around this as this is a very important feature for me to have!

Hi Matt

On the layout, what is the permission set to. Try setting it to "Group".

Matt,

If you assign "Group" permissions on the layout then all members of that group will be able to see/use that layout. To give edit functionality you will need to set both your users to be "Group Admins".

They will then be able to edit any layouts in that group.

Setting the user to have "Group Admin" privileges did as you explained.

Guys, thanks a lot for the working that has gone into this! Thanks as well for the quick responses you always manage to provide! As means of thank you, I will find the time to do some user documentation on the wiki!
