Question on recurring events

Asked by Shahid

The use of the recurring event option somewhat confuses me. If I schedule a layout to run on a screen, and set the recurrence to 2 hours, it looks like it schedules simultaneous runs staggered every two hours. Is this a correct assumption? There is also something in the schedule that came up as "earlier day" to "later day"? What's the meaning behind that?

Thanks all,
Shahid

If you schedule something that lasts longer than 2 hours every 2 hours then yes they will stack up concurrently. It doesn't really make alot of sense to do that though.

Say you want a layout for only the first 30 minutes in the hour, you'd schedule from say 18:00-18:30 on the first day you want it to appear. Then from recurring select repeats "hourly" and select every hour and "every 1". In "until" select the date and time it should finish. You'll then get a series of repeats every 30 minutes until the final date you chose.

Earlier day and later day mean that the event began on a day before the one your viewing or finishes on a day after the one you're viewing.
